Do you have a heart to join in the fight to end poverty – for mothers who don’t have enough to feed their children, much less clothe or educate them – for fathers who have to live apart from their families in order to provide the most basic necessities – for women forced to make unbearable decisions in order to survive? Perhaps you have this desire, but it feels overwhelming and you just don’t know where to start.
A first step in joining the fight to alleviate poverty is to spread the message of WorldCrafts. Our vision is to offer an income with dignity and the hope of everlasting life to every person on earth.
We are committed to ensuring that our artisans receive fair wages, but our commitment does not end there. The artisan groups who become our partners are dedicated to the holistic emotional and spiritual needs of their workers, as well.
One simple way you can spread the message is to set up a WorldCrafts display at your church or a community event.
We’ve done the planning for you:
Display Checklist. Here’s the place to start. From set-up tips to decorating ideas, this checklist will make planning your display easy.
Talking points. Worried about what to say? Our talking points will make your conversations about WorldCrafts and fair trade a breeze.
Flyers. Inspire your guests to get involved with WorldCrafts with these takeaways –
- The WorldCrafts Benefits flyer will help your guests discover how they can join WorldCrafts to assist Baptist Children’s Homes, Job Readiness sites, Lifeline Children’s Services, and Lifeline’s adoptive families through our new benefit program.
- For guests who would like to help WorldCrafts directly by providing immediate funding for its artisans, the Isaiah 58:10 Campaign flyer is a perfect resource.
- The WorldCrafts promotional flyer is a takeaway that will provide people a way to connect with Worldcrafts in the future.
Recipes. Add a little spice to your display by preparing some of the international dishes listed in the WorldCrafts recipe cards.
You’ll find more tips for decorating and planning at WorldCrafts.org/Display.
