Afternoon Picnic Party
It's as Simple as 1-2-3!

Everyone loves a good picnic, and it's the perfect time of year to have one. Gather up your friends to put food on WorldCrafts artisans' tables by hosting a Picnic Party!

1. Before

  • Choose a party site and date (church or home).
  • Send invitations to guests, asking them to bring at least one nonperishable item for a food basket.
  • Create a WorldCrafts interest center combining products, as well as pictures and stories of the artisans. Consider ordering the Spring 2013 Hostess Sample Set [H133118] ($99.99). Or create your own collection of products to sell at the event.
  • You can download our Spring/Summer 2013 WorldCrafts catalog and make copies or call 1-800-968-7301 to order printed copies.
  • Print artisan bios to display with the products or have on hand for guests to read. Also print country place cards to set up with the products.
  • Order the Sustain Me DVD [H104125] ($9.99).
  • Print an order form or use one from the catalog.
  • Decorate for a picnic with blankets and baskets.

    • 2. During

  • Introduce the WorldCrafts ministry by watching the Sustain Me DVD (or download the introduction PDF for talking points).
  • Serve light dishes perfect for a picnic: finger sandwiches, fresh fruit, chocolate chip cookies, ice tea, lemonade, etc. Or make an international dish from our recipe section.
  • Fill a basket (or baskets) with guests' nonperishables to donate to a local food bank or family in need. Make the connection that just as you have put food on a local family's table, buying WorldCrafts puts food on a family's table.
  • Invite the guests to take one of the artisan bio sheets to use as a prayer prompt during the weeks and months ahead.
  • Encourage party attendees that they can bless WorldCrafts artisans both physically and spiritually by purchasing their products
  • Take product orders.
  • Reminder: WorldCrafts products are handmade, not mass-produced, so quantities are limited.

    • 3. After

  • Collect payment and complete one order form. Important: Please send only one check for the total party order. Mail to P. O. Box 830711, Birmingham, AL 35283-0711.
  • If you bought some items in advance and they were not purchased at the event, return them, if you wish, to WorldCrafts for full credit. (Address: 100 Missy Ridge, Birmingham, AL 35242. You are responsible for shipping). Note, however, that the Spring 2013 Hostess Sample Set is not returnable.
  • Tell us your party story by posting pictures on Instagram with #WorldCrafts, the WorldCrafts Facebook page or through the party report page on our Web site.
