The Great Wall
of China Party
It's as Simple as 1-2-3!
The Great Wall stretches an estimated 5,500 miles east to west through much of China. This party will help you focus on the needs of WorldCrafts artisans in that country.
1. Before
Choose a party site and date (church or home).
Send invitations to guests.
Create a WorldCrafts interest center combining products, as well as pictures and stories of the artisans. Consider ordering the Spring 2013 Hostess Sample Set [H133118] ($99.99). Or create your own collection of products to sell at the event.
You can download our Spring/Summer 2013 WorldCrafts catalog and make copies or call 1-800-968-7301 to order printed copies.
Consider ordering Beijing Times, the International Mission Study 2012 adult and student tabloid ($2.99). Call 1-800-968-7301. Provide confirmed guests with a copy before the party.
Print artisan bios. Our current, active China artisans are China Embroidery; China Ethnic Crafts; Hearts and Hands; Spring Mountain Crafts; and Threads of Yunnan.
Create a "Great Wall of China" by posting pictures and information about China and WorldCrafts China artisans in preparation for the party activity (see below).
Order the Sustain Me DVD [H104125] ($9.99).
Print an order form or use one from the catalog.
Decorate with Chinese themed decorations such as red lanterns, paper dragons, or pandas.
2. During
Introduce the WorldCrafts ministry by watching the
Sustain Me DVD (or download the introduction PDF for talking points).
Serve Lottie Moon tea cakes, in honor of the famous missionary to China.

Ask guests to share any interesting insights they learned from Beijing Times. After everyone has shared, invite them to spend some time praying over the artisans on the "Great Wall" and stick post-it note prayers on the wall.
Invite the guests to take a copy of one of the artisan bio sheets to use as a prayer prompt during the weeks and months ahead.
Encourage party attendees that they can bless WorldCrafts artisans both physically and spiritually by purchasing their products.
Take product orders.
Reminder: WorldCrafts products are handmade, not mass-produced, so quantities are limited.
3. After
Collect payment and complete one order form. Important: Please send only
one check for the total party order. Mail to P. O. Box 830711, Birmingham, AL

If you bought some items in advance and they were not purchased at the
event, return them, if you wish, to WorldCrafts for full credit. (Address: 100
Missy Ridge, Birmingham, AL 35242. You are responsible for shipping). Note,
however, that the Fall 12 Hostess Sample Set is not returnable.
